The University Place Nursing Center provides a wide range of care to suit each resident’s personalized needs. Some residents require short-term stays for skilled nursing care following hospitalization, while others seek the best in long-term care. Whatever the need, residents enjoy a comfortable, friendly, professional and secure environment.

The individualized, skilled and long-term care programs are directed by an interdisciplinary team dedicated to caring for older adults. The team includes a medical director, advisory physicians, 24-hour nursing care, a social worker and chaplain. Our highly-trained and caring staff provides personalized attention to all residents in order to meet their needs physically, emotionally and socially.

The comfortable, secure environment is highlighted by amenities such as pleasantly-decorated private rooms with individualized showers and large semi-private rooms. Residents are invited to bring personal belongings to increase the home-like feel. Chefs take great care in preparing delicious, nutritious foods. Specialized diets and nutritional needs are met by registered dietitians.

University Place Nursing Center believes resident activities create and support an enriched environment that results in quality living based on individual lifestyle and capabilities. We provide one-on-one relationships, social group interaction, reality orientation and sensory stimulation, recreation and self expression.

A full-time social services staff provides for the needs of both residents and their family members who might have questions or concerns. Without assistance from those who are knowledgeable and able to provide expertise, it can be daunting to face new issues that arise without assistance. Likewise, it is powerful to have an advocate who listens attentively to the family’s concerns about their loved one.

Along with 24-hour nursing care, residents receive medication management and distribution by physicians and licensed nurses. At all times, residents are under a physician’s direct care and also have access to podiatrists, dentists and ophthalmologists through scheduled visits.

Guests

We offer a warm and gracious environment for both residents and their families. Guests are always welcomed to enjoy visits in the resident’s room, a meal in the beautifully decorated dining room, conversations in sitting areas located throughout and gorgeous outdoor areas landscaped to perfection. Family members and other guests are encouraged to visit at any time and work closely with the social services staff to ensure that each resident’s needs are being met. Pets are welcomed visitors, too.
